PC Galva Structures

PC Galva Structures employs the premier method of galvanization: hot-dip galvanizing. This meticulous process involves immersing steel or iron in a molten zinc pool, maintaining a temperature of approximately 860°F (460 °C). As the metal meets the molten bath, a metallurgical bond forms between the zinc and the substrate.

Upon removal from the bath, the metal reacts with the atmosphere, resulting in the formation of zinc oxide. This compound subsequently reacts with carbon dioxide to create zinc carbonate, forming the final protective coating on the material. A distinctive crystalline-like pattern, known as “spangle,” often adorns the surface of hot-dipped galvanized materials, signifying their superior quality.
